Green Action - Croatia/ Zelena Akcija is part of Friends of the Earth International and is a member organisation of the World Carfree Network. 
Green Action's Bicycle Section, was founded in 2000. Its main goal was to initiate building of cycling lines (which Zagreb doesn't have thus far). To achieve this, they used both lobbying and direct action (re-leveling of sidewalk-endings to make it bicycle/wheelchair functional, etc.). As a result, first major cycling lane is under construction now. In 2001 they organized first Croatian Car Free Day.
