BUGS - Benefit of Urban Green Space
Project objective is to assess the impact of green space and settlement patterns on urban environmental quality (traffic congestion, air quality, noise) and social well-being and to formulate recommendations regarding the use of green space and urban morphology as a design tool in urban planning strategies, accounting for social sustainability and economic feasibility.
The project should significantly contribute to environmental quality improvement in cities, mainly from the view of air quality connected with the green space absorbtion ability, and the decrease of motorised and increase of non-motorised transport.
