The working group decided that it would be necessary to have knowledge about the monitoring procedure and the limit values in the CEI countries and it would be useful to create an information exchange forum about the noise reduction activities and the experiences of the action plans.
Detailed evaluation of the filled questionnaire coming from CEI participants related to the questions step by step
The questionnaire was answered by 7 countries: Italy, Austria, Croatia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Poland. The evaluation was focused on these answers, the Hungarian was out of them, because it is completely ready to application, Hungary has finished the harmonisation procedure.
Conclusion and recommendation
The implementation of the 2002/49/EC directive relating to the assessment and management of environmental noise is a crucial point in the field of the noise protection policy in all countries. The Central European Initiative (CEI) decided to evaluate the harmonisation procedure in the CEI countries for having more information about the problems and difficulties of applying the directive.
