Bulgaria’s First Electric Car Charging Station Opens in Sofia

January 30, 2012: A1 Co and BIES have joined efforts to boost sustainable transport practices in Bulgaria, opening the first electric car charging station in Sofia. The partners say, this is only the first step on the sustainability track: if all goes as planned, soon Bulgaria will host a network of charging stations. The government is already doing a lot to give green transport a boost: electric car owners will be getting discounts and transport tax benefits from now on. A1 Co, in the meantime, is developing power systems for electric trains, and transforming traditional transport into an ecologically safe one. The company will take part in the ‘Renewable Energy Exhibition’ that Sofia is to host starting from 28 March 2012.
