|GP: Restoring Mostar City transportation by procuring new buses - Bosnia & Herzegovina|
Also contributing to inter-ethnic collaboration
The Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was born in 1995 after a civil war in the now-defunct Yugoslavia. Mostar, the target city of this project, is located 140 km south of the metropolis, Sarajevo. As the central city in the Herzegovina region, Mostar had many business companies, educational institutions, and cultural facilities from before the war. Although the city suffered serious damage in the civil war, it has, since 1994, been working on the restoration of its social infrastructure with assistance from international institutions and the EU.
Buses running in the city can be used equally by the two ethnic groups.
