Electro Mobility in Smart Cities, Gothenburg, September 2016 PDF Print E-mail
A conference on 'Electro Mobility in Smart Cities' will be held in the Swedish city of Gothenburg from 21st to 22nd September 2016. The aim of the conference is to bring together all those interested in electro mobility in cities, including representatives from industry, academia and the public sector. The conference will provide the opportunity for developing contacts, including through matchmaking meetings, and also for learning about local experience through study tours.

CIVITAS Forum 2016, Gdynia, September 2016 PDF Print E-mail
The latest annual CIVITAS Forum will be held in the Polish city of Gdynia from 28th to 30th September 2016. The EU-supported CIVITAS Initiative has been in operation for 14 years and in that time has helped introduce numerous innovations and measures to demonstrate sustainable mobility. The 2016 Forum has the theme of 'Shaping the Mobility of Tomorrow' and will bring together experts from around Europe to discuss sustainable mobility.

European Transport Conference, Barcelona, October 2016 PDF Print E-mail
The Spanish city of Barcelona hosts the 44th edition of the European Transport Conference (ETC) from 5th to 7th October 2016. The aim of the ETC is to bring together researchers, consultants, policy-makers and practioners to improve mutual understanding and identify future research needs. The conference has a wide-ranging programme, but there are particular strands on autonomous vehicles, equity in transport and sustainable economy.

Smart Mobility 2020, Ljubljana, October 2016 PDF Print E-mail
Together with the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, the UITP is hosting a seminar on Smart Mobility, subtitled 'Towards intelligent and sustainable urban transport in Europe'. The event will be held at Ljubljana city hall on the 11th October 2016. It will cover recent developments in transport in Central and Eastern Europe, and the way in which cities in this region are moving towards a smart and sustainable transport system. Case studies will be drawn from a range of European cities.

Euro Road Safety Campaigns Conference, Brussels, November 2016 PDF Print E-mail
The European Transport Safety Council (ETSC), together with Belgian partners, is hosting the second European Road Safety Campaigns Conference in the Belgian capital Brussels on 17 and 18 November 2016. Road safety campaigns are in a constant state of evolution. The conference will present information on the latest campaigns from across Europe, with a focus on distraction and speed. It will be attended by road safety campaign experts from around Europe, who are willing to share their knowledge and learn from others.

The European VeloCittà project will be hosting a European Bike Sharing Conference in the Dutch city of Rotterdam on 30th November 2016. The conference is subtitled, 'Recipes for Success', and will bring together those with an interest in bike sharing - from academics to practitioners - from around Europe. The conference supports the aims of the VeloCittà project itself, which is to ensure a better use of bike sharing systems.
